Donald Gene “Donnie” Pauley, 70, of Sod passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at home.
Donnie leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and a deep unwavering love for his family and the Lord. Being remembered for his warm spirit, quick wit, stories and great jokes that brought joy and laughter to friends and family. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seth & Agnes Graley Pauley; brother, Roger Pauley and sister, Christine Holt.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Krista Pauley (Jeremy); son, Donald, Jr. (Emily); brother, Ronald (Alma Lou) Pauley, Glen Pauley; sister, Sharon (George) Hughes; grandchildren, Nikki Jones, Tessa Buckner, Skylar Orcutt, Tirany Pauley, Jayda Pauley, Damien Pauley; great grandchildren, Addisyn, Hudsyn, Ember, Braxton, Sa’kius; and longtime friend, Brian Williams.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Sherry Shamblin officiating. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

So very sorry to hear of the sad passing of your brother, Donnie.
I know all too well, that sad deep feeling of loss, since I lost my brother Mark a few years ago.
So wonderful to read in his obituary that he loved the Lord, and that will be your solace that Jesus now has him in his comforting embrace.
