Marian Gail Cooper, 84, of Charleston passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Charleston Healthcare Center.

Marian was a 1959 graduate of Charleston High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her flower garden, yard sales, and horses. She was an accomplished watercolor artist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 60 years, Larry Kent Cooper; brother, Tom Reed; sister, Patty Kinder.

Marian is survived by her children, Chris Cooper (Mary), Lori Porter (Kevin), and Kelly Vandale (James); 7 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter, Halli Vandale; numerous great grandchildren; and sister, Judith Clancy (Tom).

Marian will be cremated and laid to rest at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
