Virgil Freeman Wade

Virgil Freeman Wade, 80, of Yawkey went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at home.

Freeman was a member of Joes Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired welder from C.J. Hughes with 52 1/2 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Wade; parents, Emmitt and Erma Alford Wade; brothers, Ricky, Bobby, and Bill Wade.

Freeman is survived by his daughters, Mitzi (Jerry) Chadwick and Jessica (Frank) Jarrell; grandchildren, Jedidiah Davis, Jasmine Davis, Jewelia Jarrell, Malachi Jarrell, Alixzandria Jarrell, and Joy Jarrell; brothers, Dale (Frances) Wade and Joe (Jeannie) Wade; sister, Janice Fore.

Service will be 2:00pm, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Andy Gillenwater officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey.

Bless you my brother. Freeman was a dedicated hard worker for me at CJ Hughes. I remember when he came to me to say he accepted the Lords grace for his salvation, so happy at the time and filled with the love of Christ.
So sorry I can’t attend your service, my prayers are with the family.
Rest my brother in Jesus arms.
