Virginia Grace Pauley, 90, of Sod, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruffner & Margie Holstein, husband, Rudy, son, Rudy Dale, Jr., and sister, Patty Spaulding.
Virginia and her husband, Rudy, owned and operated BRIT TIRE in Charleston for many years. She was a member of Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Sod.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Yvonne) Pauley, of Sod, and granddaughter, Sarah (Jamie) Thompson and their children, Tyler and Luke, of Alum Creek, and daughter-in-law, Beverly Pauley, Alum Creek, WV.
A graveside service will be 1:00pm Friday, September 19, 2025, with Minister Louis Watts officiating at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey, WV.
My family was close to Rudy and Virginia. I worked with Rudy, Dale and Ricky at Brit Tire in Charleston when I was in my Teens. Looking back it was one of the best jobs ever had. I left Brit to join the Marine Corps and never returned to good ole WV. My memories take me back to those good ole days working at the tire shop, bailing hay working with and for Rudy, Dale and Ricky. As long as my memory last I will never forget those days.
Condolences and prayers go out to the entire Pauley family. We are grateful to have known Rudy and Virginia and Rudy Dale Jr. and the rest of the family have always been a blessing to us.
