Hollis D. Griffith, Jr., 85, of South Charleston, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at The Villages at Greyston in Beaver, WV.

Hollis was a 1959 graduate of Washington District High School. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country in the United States Army and retired as a technician from Verizon. Hollis was an avid turkey hunter and gardener.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis D. and Goldie Pearl Asbury Griffith; brothers, Roger Griffith, Tom Griffith, and Marshall Griffith.

Hollis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Amalee “Amy” Pauley Griffith; sons, Jason (Debbie) Griffith and Brian (Sara Mathes) Griffith; grandchildren, Logan (Brian) Green, Jacob Griffith, Lauren Griffith, Gabriel Griffith, and Laiken Griffith.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
