Clarence Elmo McClure, Jr.

Clarence Elmo McClure, Jr., 79 of Morrisvale, WV went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 15, 2025, at home.

He served in the United States Army and went to the Vietnam War and was a member of the Alum Creek VFW #4768. He worked for Hobet Mining and was a member of the UMWA Local #2286; this is where he made many friends who he cared about dearly.

After retirement, he enjoyed seeing his children and grandchildren grow up and accomplish so much. One of his favorite past times was sitting on the porch watching the deer and visiting with his in-laws and being the community commentator while watching the kids play their ball games in the front yard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diann, parents, Clarence Elmo McClure, Sr., and Virginia Tiffner McClure, brothers, Jackie and Timmy McClure, sisters, Gloria Jean McClure Hill and Suzanne McClure Hall, sister-in-law Penny McClure and brother-in-law, Denver Hall, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Henry and Jewell Estep and brother-in-law Rick Adkins.

Surviving are children, Cynthia Decker (Shane) of Brandon, MS, Bobby McClure (Colleen) of Foster, WV; grandchildren, Zachary Vickers (Bailey) of Oxford, MS, Ethan Decker (Anna) of Brandon, MS, Ryan, Brier and Madeline McClure of Foster, WV; great-grandchildren, Navy Mae Vickers of Oxford, MS and Callum Bo Decker of Brandon, MS, brothers & sisters-in-law, Gary and Lawanda Estep, Doug and Linda Estep, Mitzi Adkins, Randall and Jill Kirby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11:00am Saturday, June 21, 2025, with Pastor Larry Kinder officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at a later date at the McClure Cemetery, Alkol, WV.
