Dorothy Mae Lively, 93, of South Charleston passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at home after an extended illness.
Dorothy was a member of the Charleston Boulevard Seventh-day Adventist Church. She retired as a cook from Kanawha County Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lively; parents, Harry M. & Helen E. Pauley; sisters, Brookie Boilon, Geraldine McGhee, Louise Dunlap, Ethel Pauley & Lura Mann; brothers, Denver Pauley & infant, Romey.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Darlene Burton; only grandson, Russell Mills (Bianca) of Hobe Sound, FL; great granddaughters, Aubrey & Marina Mills; nephew, John McGhee (Kama); great niece, Mischelle Richardson.
Service will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Randy Dustin & Pastor Gene Pauley officiating. Burial will follow Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
