Elizabeth Jane “Janie” Coy, 61, of Yawkey passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
Janie was a former employee of Thomas Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Maxwell Coy; parents, Larry and Virginia Stone Smith; and sister, Diana Harless.
Janie is survived by her children, Ronald “Joey” Coy, David (Jillian) Coy, Larry “Scotty” (Sierra) Coy, Aubrey Coy, Gavin Coy, Lottie Coy; grandchildren, Keagen, Julia, Isaiah, Mallory, Zachary, Chloe, Jacob, Wyatt, Zalem, Aniston, Waylon; sisters, Drema (Steve) Holeston, Teresa (Danny) Hughes, Reba Halstead; brother, Arthur (Betty) Booth; nephews, Jeremy (Shirley) Holeston, Michael (Brandy) Holeston; and dear friend, Mimi Smith.
Service will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastors Bruce Copley and Jackie Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Coy Family Cemetery, Yawkey. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
