Lisa Gay Collins, 56, of Alum Creek passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at home.

Lisa was a 1986 graduate of Duval High School. She worked for several law firms in the Charleston Area. The highlight of her life was watching her daughter Laura during her cheerleading years. She loved traveling to watch her at competitions. She was Laura’s biggest cheerleader and never missed a practice, game, or competition and still talked about it to this day. She also loved spending time with family, friends and her cat, Strawberry. She also enjoyed watching WVU football and basketball games! She was a huge WVU fan!

She is survived by her parents, Johnny and Naoma Ruth Egnor; daughter, Laura Collins (Ernest Thompson); husband, Randolph Collins; sister, Joni (Steve) Darnell; nieces and nephews, Amy (Justin) Cunningham, Steven (Gracey) Darnell, and Tori Darnell (Travis Gross); great nieces, Beatrice Cunningham, and Gwendolyn Darnell, many friends, and best friend, Le Ann McCormick Ratliff, whom the family extends a special thanks for all she did for Lisa.

Service will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Jesse Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lisa was a very dear and lovable person. Always making you smile and feel appreciated and loved. She always had a smile on her face and so much love to share. She was the best GiGi to my daughter and grandkids. Our ‘Crew” won’t be the same without her. Our hearts are truly broken. I will surely miss our late night drives just doing nothing but talking. RIP my sweet precious friend. You’ll dearly be missed.
