Frances L. Morris, age 81, of Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Frances will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her infectious humor, quick wit, and contagious laughter.
Frances dedicated many years of her life to her work at Allied Moving and Storage, where she eventually retired. Additionally, she shared her culinary talents at Whitey’s restaurant in North Charleston, delighting patrons with her occasional cooking.
Known for her warm and welcoming personality, Frances never knew a stranger, and her genuine kindness endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of those she met.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Sudia Kinder, her siblings Glenn, Siegel, Gloria, Clara, Shirley, Eula, and Dempsey, as well as her daughter Lisa Morris and grandson Andrew Lucas.
She is survived by her children Julie Morris, Jenny (Tom) Richards, Richard Webb Jr., and Annette (Gabe) Sewell. Frances leaves behind a legacy of love in her 12 grandchildren: Amanda, Chad, Justin, Marcus, Jarod, Hunter, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Baylee, Josh, and Lacy, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces whom she deeply cared for.
A service to celebrate Frances’s life will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Jackie Tucker officiating. Public visitation will begin at 12:00pm. Following the service, Frances will be laid to rest at Barker Cemetery, Ashford, West Virginia.
