John “Johnny” Howard Frazer

John “Johnny” Howard Frazer, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1938, in Tioga, West Virginia to the late Fred John and Dana Loraine Sparks Frazer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Delmas Lee Frazer and Donnie Roger Frazer.

Johnny was a 1957 graduate of Cowen High School. He served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. While serving, he married his wife, Brenda Woods Frazer, in 1961. He retired as a Millwright from Union Carbide with 33 years of service. Johnny enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Woods Frazer; son, Steve (Terri) Frazer of Alum Creek, WV; daughter, Beverly (Terry) Casto of Palestine, WV; grandchildren, Rob (Anna) Frazer of Alum Creek, WV, Matt (Rachel) Frazer of Mars, PA, Stephanie Frazer of Alum Creek, WV; great grandchildren, Wright and Autumn Frazer, Leighton, Kashton, and Taytum Frazer; sister in spirit, Bonnie Worley.

Service will be 11:00am, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Dent officiating. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be 3:00pm, at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alum Creek VFW Post 4768, 4443 Brounland Rd, Alum Creek, WV 25003 or HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd., W., Charleston, WV 25312.
