Shirley Lee Dunlap

Shirley Lee Dunlap, 85, of Yawkey departed this earth for Heaven Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was met at the pearly gates by the love of her life Eugene.

Shirley was also, preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Hazel Armstrong Dunlap; baby sister, Delores Ann Dunlap.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Doerr, Robin (Robert) Dunlap, and Donna (Jeff) Linville; sons, Jeff (Joan) Dunlap and Ronnie (Tonya) Dunlap; sisters, Emma Jean Dunlap and Pat McGhee; brother, Lonnie (Dottie) Dunlap; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff) Powers, Paula (Sarah) Dunlap, Stephanie (Nick) Blake, Ashley Dunlap, Eugene (Qiana) Dunlap, Stephen (Lindsay) Dunlap, Scott (Lindsay) Dunlap, Jeffery Linville (Megan), Ashtyn Linville (Brandon), Brittany (Austin) Cooper, Whitney Dunlap (Tristan); 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her daughter-in-law & caregiver, Tonya, who was a precious friend to Shirley.

Carl and i love Shirley and her family so very much. May God comfort all of you and hold you close.

I have known Shirley all my life, although I was not direct family she always treated me as though I was. She was an amazing women that always had a smile on her face and the ability to make you laugh. She will be greatly missed. My hearts go out to the entire family.
