Connie Lou Parsons, 81, of Alum Creek went home to the Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness. Connie attended Washington District High School and was a lifelong resident of Alum Creek. In her earlier years she enjoyed camping with her husband in Pocahontas County. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the life she had in her “little house on the hill”.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents Jack and Edith Holstein, sisters Macel Williams, Juanita Thomas, Ramona McCormick, Vallie Turley, brother Jackie Holstein and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her brothers, Gene (Marge), Murl (Linda), Doug and Roger Holstein, sister Zona Linville, all of Indiana and a host of nieces and nephews.

Following her wishes a memorial service and celebration will be held at Alum Creek Lions Club Community Building on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6-8 pm. Food, refreshments, and fellowship will take place to honor her life through her family and friends.

A special thank you to the staff of Kanawha Valley Hospice. Especially Jo, Norissa, Libby, and Tiffany. She loved you all so very much.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd., W. Charleston, WV 25312.

I waited on Connie when I worked at Rose’s Shopping Center. She was ALWAYS smiling and talking about ‘ her’ Donald. One of my very favorite customers. Most special lady.
