Thomas Edward (Tom) Whittington, 76, of Charleston, WV, passed away August 13, 2023, at Hospice West, South Charleston.
He was a 1965 graduate of Charleston High. He retired after 25 years from Over Night Trucking and also retired from West Virginia DHHR after 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Whittington and Jeanette Simmons Whittington. He is survived by his aunt, Joann Whittington of Aiken, SC, and many cousins left to cherish his memory.
We are thankful for our cousin Helen Moore and her children who were always there to assist him when needed. We also want to thank the staff of Hospice West for the care given to him and the compassion shown to the family.
Following his request, there will not be a service.
Tom is now walking with the Lord now he now at peace
sorry to hear about Tom, My husband worked with him at Overnite and at one time he lived with us .Roger and I went to Chas high school with him
