I am praying for Garcie and all of the family.
Geraldine was a special lady. We lived beside the Marker’s on Oakhurst Drive from 1959 to 1968 and she looked after me as one of her own. She and Garcie were great neighbors. They exemplified how to live, stay committed and love.
I’m so glad I had the chance to sit and visit with them for a couple of hours a few years ago to reminisce.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Garcie and family. I enjoyed our conversations over dinner with you , my mom and Geraldine. They are up there eating their ice cream and smiling!
Since Garcie is my cousin, I can say I have known Garcie and Geraldine all my life. Beginning as high school sweethearts in the early 1950s, they were married when I was 6 or 7. I only have memories of them together. I’ve known other old couples, but I don’t recall any who were so close for so many years. My sense is they enjoyed each other, and a Christ filled marriage, for many more years than most. A blessing to their family, friends and me.
