Betty Lou “Chewkie” Lester Hall, 73, of Alum Creek went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her home.
She attended Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Chewkie was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon “Dink” Hall; parents, Tilden and Oma Lester; brothers, Bob, Mayo, Clay, Okey, and Hotrod Lester; sisters, Ernestine, Bonnie, Martha, and Sissy June.
She is survived by her daughter, Jaclynn (Billy) Adkins of Alum Creek; brothers, Popeye and Bybo Lester; granddaughter, Hailee Pack; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Chewkie enjoyed playing cards with her family, reading, and watching westerns.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Johnny Hatfield officiating. Friends and family will gather 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be Monday, December 5, 2022, at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville.
