Roston Woodrow “Woody” Hunter II

Roston Woodrow “Woody” Hunter II, 50, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roston Hunter and Edith Backus, and brother, Samuel Hunter.

Woody was a former electrician in the coal mines. He loved coaching sports and mentoring the players.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Danielle, children, Shawntel Hunter and Chloe (Josh) Workman, grandson, Remington Colt Workman, sisters, Becky (Johnny) Bias and DD Farmer, brother, Chester Hunter and many other family and friends.

Graveside service will be 1:00pm Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Family Memorial Gardens, Low Gap, with Pastor John Workman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral expenses are appreciated.

Sure will miss Woody at our Class of 91 reunions. He was a great guy, such an athlete and artist. My heart and prayers go out to his sweet wife Danielle and his girls, grandchildren and many friends.
