Robert Allen “Bobby” Means, 76, of Tango, WV, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 3, 2022, at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.T. and Louise Hill Means; grandson, Jacob Allen Neal Craddock; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

He was a former member of Joe’s Creek Baptist Church, a Christian for 47 years and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war receiving the Purple Heart Medal.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Betty of 49 3/4 years; children, Misty Means (Jimmy) Hinton and Mark Wilson; grandchildren, Tyler (Kaila) Wilson, Caleb (Destiny) Craddock, Whitney (JC) Morrison, Isaac Craddock, Noah Craddock, and Caitlan (Mike) Kearns. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Lily Wilson, Jayce Morrison, Paislee Wilson, Rockson Morrison, Madelyn Graley, Hadlee Wilson, and Leila Craddock; brothers, Harlan (Jeanette) Means and Ronald Means; sisters, Martha Mathes and Delphia Cole.

Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Jimmy Lawrence officiating. Military rites will follow by Hamlin American Legion Post 111. Burial will be at Means-Webb Cemetery at Tango. Friends will gather from 6-8 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.

betty, misty and rest of family. I mourn with you cause Bobby was a good man, with a heart of gold. I know all will miss him, but God only takes the best.
