Brenda Ann Compton, 68, of Alum Creek, WV, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at CAMC-Memorial Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Irma Rife Childress.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, son, Anthony Ray Childress (Wendy) of Gilbert, AZ, stepdaughter, Susan Compton and step-son, Joseph Compton, Jr., of Big Chimney, WV.
There will be no service.
My deepest sympathies to Joe and the many friends Ms Brenda had. She will be deeply missed.
Oh this was such a shock. I loved Brenda. I was a bartender at Bo Daddy’s for a while back around 2013 and she would come in a lot and she was the same everytime u met her. Always positive and such a lady. We had some good times.
My condolences goes to Joe and the family and Barbara her bestie.

I’m at a lose for any words.Really loved this woman she was the best. Best sister-in-law, best friend,gave the best advice and she help me see and understand a lot about my life. She was the same each and every time you was with her. She spoke the truth about everything. Really missing her. She made Joe happy and for that I’m grateful. We will never every be able to replace such a good, caring, loving person in our lives. Love you Brenda and miss you..I am so sorry Joe for your lose..my prayers and thought are with you and your family.
