On April 18, 2022, Heaven gained a beautiful soul and we lost one of our most precious treasures. Amy M. Huffman, 49, of Garretts Bend passed away of a sudden illness.
She was born July 5, 1972, in Cleveland, OH to Huey (Mickey) and Marilyn Miller Cummings of Sumerco, WV. She was a 1990 graduate of Duval High School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two daughters, Kayla Huffman (Mark McCormick) of Yawkey, WV and Kierra Huffman (Nick Cooper) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Micki Resko (Brian Dudley) of Elyria, OH; brother, Huey “H.D.” Cummings (Kim Harris) of Yawkey, WV; nephew, Jacob Resko of Elyria, OH; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2022, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating. Burial and unique urns will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to assist in offsetting the funeral costs to Curry Funeral Home, PO Box 9, Alum Creek, WV 25003.
I loved Amy! Went through high school with her and we would still hang out together. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends!
