Denna Ann Adkins, 68, of Alkol passed away at home Monday February 27, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lorraine Vickers, husband Bernie, brothers Roger, Dwayne and Ronald.
She is survived by her son, Timmy (Vanessa) Kinchen of Drawdy, daughter Jessica Adkins at home, sisters Yvonne Dotson of Alkol, Linda Lambert of Quinland, brothers Lawrence and Victor Vickers of Alkol, 3 grandson, 5 great grandchildren, 5 nephews, 6 nieces and many love ones.
Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday March 1, at Curry Funeral Home 2097 Childress Road Alum Creek with Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery Alkol. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
I am very sorry to learn of your loss of Denna. Jesus lovingly comforted mourning ones during his earthly ministry bringing them encouragement and peace of mind. He left his words so that we can comfort ourselves and others. He stated at John 5:28,29 that there will be a resurrection. His followers still held that belief after his death and his own resurrection according to Acts 24:15. May you find comfort and hope as you put faith in his promise of a future resurrection.
