Brian Keith Adkins, 63, of Julian passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Brian was a former employee of Tyler Mountain Water Company. He loved camping, fishing, and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hersey and Zulema Adkins; son, Shane Adkins; brothers, William “Buster”, Garrett, and Bethel; sisters, Kay Allen, Geraldine Smith, Yvonne Lacy, Eva Jean Adkins.

Brian is survived by wife, Julie Adkins; children, Christina Adkins, Robbie Miller, Scotty Boling, Brian Adkins, Matthew Adkins, Tiffany Adkins, Bristen Adkins; sister, Drema (Tony) Williams; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Sumerco with Pastor Tony Williams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the funeral home to offset the funeral cost. Curry Funeral Home, PO Box 9, Alum Creek, WV 25003. 304-756-3111

To JULIE…BRIANS CHILDREN….GRANDCHILDREN….OTHER LOVED ONES & THOUSANDS OF FRIENDS HE HAS MADE ALONG THE WAY I’M SO VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSSES & I’M SENDING YOU ALL MY LOVE…THOUGHTS…& PRAYERS DURING YOUR TRAGIC TIME…IF YOU NEED ANYTGING FEEL FREE TO LET US KNOW! …Brian has been more than a friend to myself…hes been a friend…father figure…a teacher and a lifesaver to myself since my finace Jeff introduced me to the man he wanted me to approve of as well as his approval of myself more than any two ppl in the world. He helped Brian load gravel one evening as we were on way out when we first got together and he shoveled it all into the truck bed…NEVER Let Brian pick up a single piece of gravel from the time we stopped to check on and talk to him that evening….THEIR BOND & EXCITEMENT WHEN THESE TWO GOT TOGETHER….makes me smile just while I’m typing this story for the family and friends of Brian to see how loved missed and respected this man was will always be in our hearts memories and stories for a lifetime! We love you Brian and we miss you more than words but we will all meet again someday! Till then please guide us thru life and every now then scare me like you have before time time again and I will smile and say well….I know its you I love and miss you too…..GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN….SHAWNA AND JEFF BOWMAN
