Jill Christine Griffith Gillispie, 59, of Hurricane passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at home.
She was a graduate of George Washington High School. She retired from Kanawha County Schools as a cook for both South Charleston Middle and High Schools.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Griffith.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Ward of Beckley; and brothers, Paul (Anna) Griffith and Duane (Pam) Griffith.
Jill will be cremated and laid to rest in a private ceremony.

So sorry to hear of Jill’s death. I haven’t seen her for years but always thought she was so sweet and cute when she was young and we went to Hill Top Baptist Church. I always thought a lot of each of you and especially how kind your mother and dad were to me, Ida May and Dink. I will keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest easy aunt jill. Broken hearts never mend if you dont let them is what you told me back in the summer 🙁 see you again one day. Prayers for Ash and the family.
