Marietta, We just wanted you to know why we weren’t at the funeral. We have health problems and are staying in due to virus concerns. We remember how good you both were to Aunt Alice. You were always there for her. We remember Tuck drilling our well 60 years ago! He was a nice, kind man and every memory we have of him is good.

Marietta, Greg and Keith I am so very sorry for your loss. I just heard today (08-18-20) of Tuck’s passing. I shall never forget him; his smile and laughter, those sparkling eyes and a gentleness and love that only a man like him could share with so many people both family and community. I am so sadden and I ache inside and I can only imagine the pain you must feel. Please accept my love and the most sincere apologies for not being able to be there.Love to you all and may God bless and help you through this difficult time.

We are so sorry about Tuck. We have nothing but good memories of the both of you. He was always so kind to Aunt Alice. I can just see that little grin he would give. I remember her somehow getting him to paint several rooms in her house. He was always willing to do whatever she asked…and she usually always had something for him to do. We have missed you both in Alum Creek but are glad you are around your children…especially now.. We know you will need extra strength in the days ahead. Praying for you.

I worked at the boat shop near Patrick Street years ago and Mr. Lovejoy always came to me for parts and service help. He was a kind gentleman and always shared his fishing stories. Rest In Peace.

We were neighbors for 41 years and then we both moved away. Tuck was always a very nice man that we cared about and of course Marietta was a sweet lady. There are no words I can say that will help at this time but please know Carl and I do care. With love and prayers to the family. We are so sorry for your loss.

Condolences to Marietta and the rest of the Family. I was blessed to be neighbors with the Lovejoy’s in Alum Creek. They were and are special friends to my family and are like grandparents to my children. Many evenings we would be invited for great food (particularly perch when tuck returned from his family fishing trips to Michigan). I never saw tuck without a smile and a hello Robbie.
Truly a great man.
