ROBERT N. “BOB” TULLIS, 63 OF SUMRALL, MS, FORMERLY OF ASHLAND, KY, DIED SUNDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1993 AT HOME AFTER AN APPARENT HEART ATTACK.
HE EARNED A DEGREE IN PETROLEUM ENGINEERING FROM LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 1954. HE BEGAN WORKING FOR COLUMBIA GAS IN CHARLESTON, WV IN 1954 AND LATER BECAME THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF INLAND GAS CO., A SUBSIDIARY OF COLUMBIA GAS IN ASHLAND, KY WHERE HE RETIRED. HE WAS A RESIDENT OF SUMRALL, MS FOR THE PAST YEAR. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE KENSINGTON WOODS CHURCH OF CHRIST IN HATTIESBURG, MS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, LORETTA GOODE TULLIS OF SUMRALL, MS; 2 SONS: MARCUS TULLIS OF SUMRALL, MS; STUART TULLIS OF SUMRALL, MS; 1 DAUGHTER: AMY TULLIS OF DOTHAN, AL; MOTHER: ANNA TULLIS OF LAUREL, MS; 1 SISTER: JANE ANDERSON OF LAUREL, MS.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 23, 1993 AT 11:00 AM WITH MINISTER GERALD WATTS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN ORCHARD HILLS MEMORY GARDENS, YAWKEY. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1993 FROM 6 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
