DELBERT A. SPENCER, 69 OF CHARLESTON, DIED ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1993 AT THE VA HOSPITAL, HUNTINGTON, WV AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF CHARLESTON, WV. HE WAS A NAVY VETERAN OF WWII AND A MEMBER OF OLD FAITH GOSPEL TABERNACLE, SISSONVILLE, WV.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, RUTH LANDRUM SPENCER; 1 SON: DANNY SPENCER OF OH; 1 DAUGHTER: CONNIE MARTIN OF NC; 2 STEP-DAUGHTER: DONNA LAWRENCE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; PATSEY LANEY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 1 SISTER: BETTY HUDSON OF CROSS LANES, WV; 8 GRANDCHILDREN AND 5 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT OLD FAITH GOSPEL TABERNACLE, SISSONVILLE, ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1993 AT 2:30 PM WITH REV. HAROLD BOGGS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN DUFF CEMETERY, GOLDTOWN, WV. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 6 TO 9 PM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1993 AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK AND 1 HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICE AT THE CHURCH ON FRIDAY.
