ROBERT LEE RUBY, 43 OF SOD DIED FRIDAY, SEPT. 3, 1993 AT THE WESTERN PENNSLYVIA BURN CENTER IN PITTSBURG AS A RESULT OF INJURIES SUSTAINED FROM THE AUGUST 18TH CHEMICAL EXPLOSION AT INSTITUTE,WV.
HE WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF RHONE POULENC AT INSTITUTE WHERE HE WAS A GENERAL MECHANIC. MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MECHANIST AND AEROSPACE WORKERS LOCAL 656. HE WAS A MEMBER OF ELIZABETH BAPTIST CHURCH AT GARRETTS BEND WHERE HE SERVED AS A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER AND DEACON. RUBY WAS A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY AND WAS AN ARMY VETERAN DURING THE VEITNAM WAR.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE: HELEN; 2 SONS: STEVEN & MARK BOTH AT HOME; MOTHER: MRS. BARBARA RUBY OF ALUM CREEK; FATHER: MR. CARTER RUBY OF ALUM CREEK; 2 SISTERS: CAROL NEWCOMER OF ALUM CREEK ANITA RUBY OF ALUM CREEK; 2 BROTHERS: FRANK RUBY OF SO CHARLESTON RICHARD RUBY OF SOD.
SERVICES WILL BE 2:30 PM MONDAY, SEPT 6, 1993 AT THE CURRY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, ALUM CREEK WITH REV. WINFORD CURRY, REV. HOMER HENSLEY AND REV. C.A. ROGERS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN ORCHARD HILLS MEMORY GARDENS AT YAWKEY. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 6 TO 9 SUNDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
