GEORGE (ROD) JACKSON, 44, OF SISSONVILLE, DIED SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 1993 AT HOME AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.

HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE PAINTERS LOCAL 970 IN CHARLESTON AND WAS EMPLOYED BY HEIST PAINTING CONTRACTORS IN DUNBAR. HE WAS A CHRISTIAN AND ATTENDED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, CAROL WOODS JACKSON; 1 DAUGHTER: LISA JACKSON AT HOME; 1 SON: RODNEY SHAW OF ALUM CREEK; 1 STEP-SON: MICHAEL WOODS AT HOME; MOTHER: EVELYN JACKSON OF BROUNLAND; 4 SISTERS: DEBBIE WALLS OF CHARLESTON; LINDA SHARP OF CHARLESTON; GLORIA REEDY OF CHARLESTON; LORIA GIBBON OF CHARLESTON; 5 BROTHERS: ROBERT JACKSON OF CHARLESTON; LARRY JACKSON OF CHARLESTON; GREG JACKSON OF CHARLESTON; TERRY JACKSON OF CHARLESTON; WALLACE JACKSON OF CHARLESTON; 1 GRANDSON NICHOLAS AUSTIN SHAW.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON TUESDAY, JUNE 8, 1993 AT 1:00 PM WITH REV. KENNETH ROBERTS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN FLORAL HILL GARDENS OF MEMORIES, SISSIONVILLE. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON MONDAY, JUNE 7, 1993 FROM 7 TO 9.
