CHARLES F. GRIFFITH, 73 OF SO. CHARLESTON, DIED FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 1994 AT HOME AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.

HE WAS A MEMBER OF FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH, ST. ALBANS. HE WAS A RETIRED OPERATOR AT FMC FOR 36 YEARS AND A MEMBER OF UNITED STEEL WORKERS LOCAL 12625. HE WAS A WWII MERCHANT MARINE VETERAN.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, CLARA; 2 SONS: PAUL GRIFFITH OF ALUM CREEK, WV; DUANE GRIFFITH OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 DAUGHTER: JILL GILLISPIE OF CHARLESTON, WV; 3 BROTHERS: BILL GRIFFITH OF WILSON, NC; FRANK GRIFFITH OF DUNEDIN, FL; ROME GRIFFITH OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 3 SISTERS: MARY WAGONER OF PERRYSVILLE, OH; RUTH STOVER OF TITUSVILLE, FL; MINNIE PALMER OF SWEET SPRINGS, WV; 6 GRANDCHILDREN AND 1 GREAT GRANDSON.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL -HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1994 AT 2:00 PM WITH TIM WALDRON AND PASTOR FRANK CHAPMAN. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN FORKS OF COAL MEMORIAL PARK, ALUM CREEK. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1994 ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICE. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, PLEASE MAKE DONATIONS TO KANAWHA HOSPICE CARE INC., PO BOX 2013, CHARLESTON, WV 25327.
