LIZA KINGERY SAUL, 102, OF YAWKEY DIED JULY 15, 1994 AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER, JEAN LONDEREE OF CHARLESTON, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.
SHE WAS A NATIVE OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA AND MOVED TO WEST VIRGINIA AS A SMALL CHILD. SHE WAS NAMED 1982 WEST VIRGINIA MOTHER OF THE YEAR AND ALSO LINCOLN COUNTY MOTHER OF THE YEAER. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF AMY BAPTIST CHURCH.
ALSO SURVIVING DAUGHTERS, WILMA SWANSON OF EASTON, MD,. CLARA ANN HAULDREN OF HURRICANE: SONS, LESTER OF MOREHEAD, KY., EVERETT JR. OF SO CHARLESTON, CREVER OF YAWKEY, JAMES OF BLUEFIELD; 12 GRANDCHILDREN AND 23 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WERE 11:00 AM MONDAY AT THE BEECH GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH, YAWKEY, WITH THE REV HENRY ESTEP AND PASTOR OSHEL BELL OFFICIATING. BURIAL FOLLOWED IN THE MAYS CEMETERY, YAWKEY. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS MAY BE MADE TO BEECH GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH OR MAYS CEMETERY. CURRY FUNERAL HOME AT ALUM CREEK WAS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
