HE WAS A RETIRED COAL MINER AND A MEMBER OF UMWA. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AT TYLER MOUNTAIN.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS 3 SONS: GEORGE W. KIRK OF SISSONVILLE, WV; HANK KIRK OF DETROIT, MI; LEON KIRK OF DETROIT, MI; 4 DAUGHTERS: PATRICIA WILLIAMS OF BROUNLAND, WV; VAUGHNA PRIESTLEY OF LEXINGTON, KY; JEANETTE LARCH OF CENTREVILLE, VAj LINDA SPENCER OF CHARLESTON, WV; 1 STEP-DAUGHTER: CAROLYN MCCLANAHAN OF CHARLESTON, WV; 29 GRANDCHILDREN/43 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN/1 GREAT GREAT GRANDSON.
