RALPH S. MADDEN, 70, OF ALUM CREEK DIED WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1996 AT THE HUNTINGTON VA HOSPITAL AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A RETIRED CONSTRUCTION WORKER, A MEMBER OF THE PLUMBERS AND PIPEFITTERS LOCAL #625 IN CHARLESTON, A MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK CHURCH OF CHRIST AND A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY. HE WAS A WWII MARINE CORP. VETERAN AND A MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK V.F.W. POST #4768.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, RUTH; 2 SONS: DAN MADDEN OF TITUSVILLE, FL; JAMES R. MADDEN OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 3 DAUGHTERS: DIANA L. CANADA OF TITUSVILLE, FL; CHEYENNE MADDEN GUZMAN OF LAKE CHARLES, LA; LIBBY KRUEGER OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 SISTER: MABEL OLIVER OF GALLIPOLIS, OH; 1 BROTHER: PAUL BENNETT OF NITRO, WV; 8 GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 1996 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR FRANK CHAPMAN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN FORKS OF COAL MEMORIAL PARK, ALUM CREEK, WITH MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES BY THE ALUM CREEK V.F.W. POST #4768. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 1996 FROM 7 TO 9 PM.
