ALBERT WESLEY CHILDRESS, 89, OF SOUTH CHARLESTON DIED SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1997 AT THE VALLEY HEALTH VILLAGE NURSING HOME IN SOUTH CHARLESTON AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE HILLTOP BAPTIST CHURCH, A RETIRED SCHOOL BUS DRIVER FOR THE KANAWHA COUNTY SCHOOLS WITH 27 YEARS OF SERVICE, A 50 YEAR MEMBER OF AF&AM X168 SOUTH CHARLESTON, A MEMBER OF THE BENI KEDEM SHRINE IN CHARLESTON AND LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF KANAWHA COUNTY.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: JOSEPHINE SHAMBLIN CHILDRESS.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1997 AT 2:00 PM WITH REV. HENRY CUNNINGS OFFICIATING. ENTOMBMENT WILL BE HELD IN THE GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK MAUSOLEUM, SOUTH CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 1997 FROM 3 TO 6 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
