MADELINE STOVER ATHA, 73, OF MARMET DIED SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1997 AT CAMC GENERAL DIVISON AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.

SHE WAS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF OWENS, ILLINOIS BOTTLING PLANT AND SHE WAS RETIRED FROM CAMC MEMORIAL DIVISION RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER: HUSBAND: SAMUEL P. ATHA; 1 DAUGHTER: PATRICIA A. HAYNES OF MEMPHIS, TN; 4 SISTER: BESSIE PAULEY OF TITUSVILLE, FL; NELLIE GILLISPIE OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; AUDREY KNIGHT OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; EVELYN BAILEY OF DUNBAR, WV; 1 STEP-SON: LARRY ATHA OF MARMET, WV; 2 GRANDSONS: AARON HAYNES; BRIAN HAYNES; 4 STEP-GRANDCHILDREN; 7 STEP-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1997 AT 2:00 PM WITH REV. BASIL HUDSON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK, SOUTH CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1997 FROM 3 TO 6 PM.
