THEODORE “TEDDY” BANKS, JR., 48 OF ALUM CREEK DIED MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1997 AT CAMC GENERAL DIVISION FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A TRAIN IN NITRO.
HE HAD 21 YEARS OF SERVICE WITH UPS IN SOUTH CHARLESTON, WAS IN THE ARMY RESERVES FOR SIX YEARS AND HE WAS A PROTESTANT.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: THERESA LOU BANKS; 1 DAUGHTER: AMY LEA BANKS OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 SON: THEODORE AVERY BANKS OF CHARLESTON, WV; 1 STEP-SON: STEPHEN SUTHERLAND OF CHARLESTON, WV; MOTHER: JEAN BURCH OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 2 SISTERS: JUDY BROGAN OF ALUM CREEK, WV; DIXIE CYPHERS OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; 1 BROTHER: IKEY BANKS (ADDRESS UNKNOWN);
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1997 AT 11:00 AM WITH PASTOR DAVID BRAGG OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN ORCHARD HILLS MEMORY GARDENS, YAWKEY. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 1997 FROM 6 TO 8 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
