WANDA L. MCCALLISTER OF SOD DIED SATURDAY, MAY 3, 1997 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN SOUTH CHARLESTON AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
SHE WAS A RETIRED POST MASTER AT SOD POST OFFICE WITH 45 YEARS SERVICE. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF COBBS CREEK MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH AT SOD WHERE SHE HAD SERVED AS CHURCH CLERK, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER, CHOIR MEMBER AND IN THE LADIES MISSION CIRCLE. SHE WAS A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER: 1 DAUGHTER: GLORIA LEE RUNYON OF SOD, WV; 6 SISTERS: MELBA MCCALLISTER OF CLINTON, TN; IMA MOORE OF HURRICANE, WV; RAYMA BROWN OF CHARLESTON, WV; MYRNA PARKER OF CHARLESTON, WV; JOYCE HARLAN OF ELKVIEW, WV; JOANN DUNLAP OF SOD, WV; 1 BROTHER: LINDELL NEAL OF ORANGEBURG, SC; 2 GRANDCHILDREN: ROBIN JUSTICE OF SOD, WV; LEE RUNYON OF SOD, WV; 1 GREAT GRANDSON: BROCK JUSTICE OF SOD, WV.
SERVICES WILL BE 2:00 PM ON TUESDAY, MAY 6, 1997 AT THE CURRY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, ALUM CREEK WITH PASTOR CLARENCE HUTTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN LIVELY CEMETERY AT SOD. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 7 TO 9 PM ON MONDAY, MAY 5, 1997 AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
