Kevin Eugene Dunlap

Kevin Eugene Dunlap, 57, of Sod, W. Va., went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Tuesday morning, December 5, 2017 at home after a short illness.

Kevin was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and a graduate of Duval High School. He worked at various jobs throughout his life, but he will be remembered most for the delicious steaks he cooked while working at the Bonanza restaurant in St. Albans.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amy; dad, Walter Dunlap; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Ocie Gillenwater; and paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Beedie Dunlap.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lisa; mother, Joyce Dunlap; brother, Greg (Sherry) Dunlap; sister, Lisa (Allen) Pauley; stepchildren, Michael and Paul Davis and Lorna Nicholas; step grandsons, J.T. Nicholas and Noah Davis; great granddaughter, Lexi; cousin, David Lucas for whom he was caretaker. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Homer Hensley and Mark Ruby officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions for the funeral service.

God Bless you all, so sorry for your loss. Kevin was a great guy, had the ability to make everyone laugh.
