Vickie Marie Jennings Duarte, 67, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital, Charleston, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Walter and Mary Marie Miller Jennings.
She was a a 1968 graduate of South Charleston High School and a member of Kanawha Baptist Temple. Additionally, she was a former employee of Elana Health in Dunbar where she retired in 2011.
She is survived by aunts, cousins, her church family and the love of her life Chantilly, her toy poodle.
A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Kanawha Baptist Temple, Mill Creek Road, Charleston, WV with Pastor Curtis Patterson officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Kanawha Baptist Temple Cemetery. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
I am not able to come to the service, but my thoughts and prayers are with the Duarte Family during this sad time.
Vicki was the sweatiest and caring person I ever meet. She always put other people first no matter how bad she was feeling. Vicki loved her church and all her church family. She will be greatly missed!!
Prayers for you Vicki, will always cherish the friendship that we had in high school. Life took us in different directions…probably a good thing for both of us…LOL. Only you and Connie can appreciate that remark.
