James Frank Cash, Sr., 69, of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Mae, son, James Franklin Cash, Jr., granddaughter, Crystal Cash, parents, Homer & Elizabeth Cash, and brother, Charles.
He worked in construction and was a truck driver for Smith Transfer and WV Paving.
He is survived by his son, Johnny (Cindy) Cash, daughter, Buffy (Steve) Thomas, brothers, John (Shirley) Cash and Homer Cash, six grandchildren, Jimmy, Kristen, Cassidy, Andy, Jacob, and Abby, four great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Dylan, Karma, and Lilly.
Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 7th at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastors Earl Cochran and Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Forks of Coal Cemetery, Alum Creek. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Cash was such a sweet man. He was always trying to help someone out. Both my husband and I won’t be able to attend the services due to another commitment. We thought your Dad was a very special man. I had been planning to make him another meal since he enjoyed the first one so much . I am so sad that I so won’tget to do that.

Acts 24:15 “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Imagine that day when all our loved ones are brought back to life through a resurrection and we can embrace them again. How we long for that truly special day so close at hand.
