I am sorry to hear of the passing of Harry Slaughter. He was among many wonderful men and mentors I met and enjoyed, as Governor of Mountaineer Boys’ State in 1981, and for several years after, as a member of the Boys’ State staff. He was a good man with a good heart and a passion to help mentor young “Men of Tomorrow.” I will always smile with memories of Harry Slaughter!
