Rev. Forrest W. Curry

Rev. Forrest W. Curry, 84, of Hamlin went home to meet his Heavenly Father Wednesday, November 23, 2011 after a short illness.

He was a Pastor in area churches for more than 60 years and a retired superintendent for Ryder Construction.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alberta Roberts Curry; brother, Gene Curry; sister-in-law, Linda Burns Curry; daughter-in-law, Carol Bailey Curry, and great grandson Dalton Bills.

 He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kathleen Barrett Curry; daughter, Kathy Hodge (companion, John Welbourn);sons, Rodney (Kathy Sue) Curry, Charles (Valorie) Curry; sisters, Helen Curry, Ruth (Larry) Bays; Brother, Fred Curry; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

 Funeral service will be 11:00 am Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, State Street, Hamlin, with Pastors David Burch and Jim Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey’s Creek Cemetery. Family and friends will gather Saturday from 5 – 8:00 pm at the church.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, c/o Pastor David Burch , 106 Burch Lane, Hamlin, WV 25523 or the Emogene Jones Dolin Hospice House, PO Box 464, Huntington, WV 25702.

 Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek is in care of arrangements.
