Harold Edwin Hensley, 83, of Sod went home to the Lord Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Dunbar Center after a long illness.
He was retired from Cement Masons, Charleston, WV. He was a member of Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy; daughter, Jennifer Hensley and son-in-law, Jim Holstein.
He is survived by special friend, Phyllis Nunn; daughters, Joan (Gene) Cecil and Tamara Holstein; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) Dunlap; Shannon (Scott) Riffe and Olivia Holstein; great grandchildren, Kevin Dunlap, Jr. and Jilyian Riffe.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Lively Cemetery, Sod. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
I am so sorry. I can still hear the sound of his voice in my head 🙂 He was always friendly with my sisters and I while we were growing up. He was good to Dad as well. I don’t have words that will make anything easier to bear. Just know that one day we will reunite with all those who have left us here on earth. I will keep each of you in prayers.
