Carolyn Sue (Dunlap) SmithCAROLYN SUE (DUNLAP) SMITH, 70, of St. Albans, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2015, after a long and hard fought battle with her illnesses.  Carolyn was a Christian and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many people.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Bernice Dunlap, brothers Rusty and David, and niece Jennifer.

To the family of Carolyn Sue Smith,
I’m very sorry about the loss of your loved one. I wanted to share the scriptural hope that gave me so much comfort when I lost my mother. I hope it will help you also. The Bible shows that God did not intend for humans to suffer, grow old and die. (Romans 5:12). It also calls death an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26). God promises to remove death forever. (Isaiah 25:8). He also promises to soon restore the earth and humans to his original purpose for them. Then he will resurrect our loved ones onto a cleansed, paradise earth where we can welcome them back. (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:10,11,29). Please visit jw.org to find satisfying answers from the Bible, free of charge. I truly am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Susan Novak

What a loss…….to this world, and certainly to the Smith and Dunlap family. I have many, many childhood memories of good times and much laughter with Susie and Brenda Kay, my first cousins. Mumbly Peg, Big Rock, Crazy Eights, Canasta, and taking those country road curves too fast in that wild VW after Susie got her license. Hot Dogs at the restaurant down the road in Ruth, and pinto beans & cornbread in Aunt Bernice’s kitchen – after we had “shined” the freshly waxed kitchen floor with our socks on. So many memories I was given in the short time of maybe 10-12 years of my life. I realize how painful this loss must be to the Smith and Dunlap family. I’m so sorry, and my thoughts are certainly with all of you.
