Gary Wayne Sheppard

I am gone. My soul lives on, but in a better place; surrounded by the light of God in all His glory and grace.

Gary W. Sheppard, 48, of South Charleston departed suddenly on November 16, 2006 of an apparent heart attack. Gary was a graduate of Point Pleasant Christian Academy. He was a twelve year veteran of the US Army, which included a tour of duty in Operation Desert Storm, where he served as an Army Medic. After serving in the Army he was an independent trucker.

Gary was born on September 25, 1958, the third child of the late Holley L. “Jack” and Geneva “Hope” Runnion Sheppard.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Carol Sheppard

Children: Marsha, Kandra, Carolyn and Gary W. II.

Step-Children: Debbie McKinney & husband, Mike

Billy Morris & wife, Tammy

Dewayne Morris.

Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and one Great-grandchild.

Sister: Pat Roberts & companion, Roger Province

Brother: Randy Sheppard & wife, Mary

Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2006 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with

Pastor Gene Pauley officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston with Military Graveside Rites by Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768 Alum Creek. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
