Patricia WilliamsPatricia Jean Williams, 80, of Briar Creek, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rondal, brothers: Hank and Leon Kirk and sister Linda. She was a member of the Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Eric Williams and wife, Carol and David Williams and wife,Bonnie all of Alum Creek, and Aaron Todd Williams and wife, Jessica of Huntington; brother: George “Wimpie” Kirk’ sisters: Vaugn Priestley and Jeanette Larch; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was best of friends with Echo Duncan and special friends and neighbors, Joe & Karen Whitlock and Mark Gibson.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Curry Funeral Home Chapel, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastor Frank Chapman and George Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

My love and prayers are with you all during this time. I know from losing my own Mom that this is the hardest thing in the world. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I will miss our talks. I am here If you all need anything. Love you all and loved you Mom more than you all knew.

I am so sorry for you loss. I did not know she had passed away. She is in a much better place but has left you here to morn. Sadness and loneliness for a while then good memories will come.

Patricia was a very special classy lady who I have very fond memories of from age 5. Going through school with David and Eric I have many happy memories being at your house. I am sincerely sorry I could not attend the services. We had reservations for my son’s 10th birthday party today.

Eric,David&Todd&Families mom(Melvia) & I are so sorry to hear about Patricia’s passing.since the roads are so bad & the wind is making it so cold, im so sorry to say that it is with sincere apologies that I don’t think it would be very wise to bring mom out in this weather. Patricia has always been such a classy lady.Always smiling,so kind to everyone.she will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.Praying for all of you for comfort in this very difficult time.Love to all !

Eric, Dave and Todd,u r much in my thoughts,prayers. Trish was the best person, best cousin,and best friend any one could ask for. She is going to be missed by so many family members and friends.I can just picture her and mom in heaven, singing, and praising The Lord.

I am so sorry for your loss. Pat was the nicest person hadn’t seen her in a long time. Todd & i went to school with you. Robin Songer was my maiden name. i just lost my mom last week January 15th and Curry Funeral Home helped us also. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you through this difficult time.
