Dear Lesley and family,

I am not sure you remember me or Charlotte Furman, but we lived very close to your parents when they lived in the smaller house on Hampshire Drive.

We really enjoyed both your dad and, of course, your mom. They were both lovely neighbors and friends.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Fondly,
Joan and Charlotte

Since I will be unable to join you in person for the service, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere condolences to Debbie, Lesley and their families – as well as my father, Bob Paterson – on the passing of my Aunt Jane. My thoughts are with you all as you celebrate her life and spirit.

I will always have many fond memories of the many holidays spent at the Morristown house. Aunt Jane was ever the gracious and elegant host, and she always treated me with great kindness and respect. To this day, there are certain savory smells that take my right back to her kitchen on a Thanksgiving or Christmas day.Of course, I also will be forever grateful to her for fawning over my “beautiful” wife when they first met – I do believe Jane’s kind words to Jeanne when we were still dating played a role in convincing Jeanne to marry me. 🙂

It saddens me to have seen so much time go by since I have seen Aunt Jane or my cousins, but I take some small solace in having vibrant memories of the fun times we did get to spend together while we were growing up.

God Bless…

Dear Debbie and Lindsey,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. My prayers are with you and your families during this time. May God grant you peace as you deal with the details in the coming days. We know Jane is now living a vibrant life with our Heavenly Father, and for that, I hope you find great comfort. I visited Jane a couple weeks ago and when I left, I felt that was my last time of seeing her on this earth, with the knowledge we will meet again in the future.
