I will miss Miss Thelma.. She was a very gracious lady. I remember visiting with her and Leonard a few years ago where she shared some of her memories of their time together. This meant a lot to me since I do not have family here. When I would see her at church she would ask where Kevin was at and told me she was thinking of him..
My prayers are with the family at this time.

My heart was saddened when I heard the news of Thelma’s passing. She has joined those of her family and ours that have gone on before. I wish I could be there at times like these. I know how much it meant to me when all of you were there for us. I think of all the family often and remember all the good times we had at the picnics. I miss those days and I miss being close to and seeing everyone. If you?e ever in Florida, stop by and see us.
Love and Prayers, Linda

It is with great sadness that I write this note to the family of Thelma. My memories of her go way back to when we were neighbors in St. Albans and were playmates, along with her sisters and brothers, my brother, Chuck, and sister, Evelyn. Those were fun times when we could roam freely playing ‘house,’ marbles in your front yard, staying over-night frequently, kick the can, riding bicycles (Thelma and I even made a ‘bicycle-built-for-two!), and all the fun, made-up games that kids today don’t know how to do! We played hide-and-seek after dark until we were called in and never had to fear getting into trouble. Those, indeed, were the ‘good ole days’ and I miss them. After the McCallister family moved to Lincoln County, I visited a few times and always enjoyed those visits. Inis and Guy treated me like one of their own and Lord knows, they didn’t need another mouth to feed but I always felt welcome! While we haven’t kept in close touch in recent years, I enjoyed running into Thelma and Leonard occasionally, or Thelma and Sylvia while grocery shopping in St. Albans. They were a close couple, I know. When I saw Lenoard’s obit in the paper, I tried to call Thelma but never got an answer., They are together now and that is comforting. May they rest in peace. My thoughts are with you, the family, and may you be comforted also. I am sorry I couldn’t be there today but my thoughts are with you all. (I moved last year to Teays Valley and would love to see you some time. You’re always welcome!) Love, Mary

Both Thelma and Leonard were very special neighbors to my parents, Glenn and Dortha. It was a comfort to me to know that such kind, caring and honest people were close by and cared about them. This world’s loss is definitely heaven’s gain. May the many precious memories your family has of them comfort you now and always.
