E. “Steve” Hicks.

She is survived by their son, Terry and his wife, Teresa, of Cross Lanes; sisters, Irene Pennington of Alum Creek and Mary “Brownie” Hager of Alkol, WV; and brother, Kerman of Dunedin, FL.  There are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Amy Baptist Church at Yawkey for over fifty years.  She and Steven owned and operated Hicks Pennzoil at Yawkey for thirty years before retiring.

Her family expresses a very special Thank You to Terri Coiner for her time and friendship to Mom, and to the staff at Rose Terrace in Culloden, WV for their loving care and help.  God Bless you.

Ms. Hicks was just a joy to be around. While growing up, I mowed her lawn for her for many years! Always the perfectionist…she often lessoned me on the proper mowing and trimming of her lawn. Fond memories of her…she will be missed!

We, at The Lincoln Journal, Hamlin, are very sorry for your loss. I loved to talk with Reva when she would call in, sometimes just to talk and find out what was happening. She was a good person. Phyllis Stowers (Hill)
