Wetzel Caldwell Sansom, 71, of Sod passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Thomas Hospital after a short illness.
He is survived by his brother Basil Sansom of Sod.
A direct burial will Sunday April 25, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Bladwin Family Cemetery at Secoal in Boone County.
Wetzel was my special childhood friend. We played together in the late 1940s when we lived up on Hillcrest in what is now Charleston WV. I attended Martin School with Wetzel and his sister Virginia (I think was her name). I have thought of Wetzel often down through the years.
