Dear Patsy, Linda, and Judy,

I just found out about your Mom and I am so sorry. I can still hear your Mom’s laugh-just like I can still see your Dad riding his bike around the neighborhood. Please know I will keep all you in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, Penny

Dear Linda & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom made me feel like I was part of the family the very first time I met her. She was warm, welcoming and fun. I know she will be missed terribly by so many. You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you, Vicki

Judy,
I even begin to imagine how hard this is for you and your family, I am so very sorry for what you have went through and what you are going through. Doris was a ROCK, there were times she was my rock too. I don’t think I ever had the chance to tell you but “back in the day”, (17yrs ago?), Doris was the one that believed in me when nobody else did. She helped me everyday get thru all my crap, get back on track and turn my life around. It’s hard to tell where I would be today, her faith in me was just what I needed to keep me going, I love her dearly for that and I will be forever grateful. Every time I have seen her over the years it’s been nothing but smiles, hugs and great big thank you’s! (and an occasional happy tear)…I’ve always teased her about being the “youngest-oldest member”…I’m so glad I joined the Credit Union at 18, and so lucky your Mom took the time to raise me as well! I loved her dearly Judy and I love you too, just wanted you to know. You guys take good care of each other, you’re in my thoughts and prayers.

It has been many years since I saw Doris Jean. Her father was my first cousin. My husband, Larry, and I used to visit frequently with Doris and Paul before we left WV in 1962. I have many pleasant childhood memories from my family visits with Doris, Dorma, July and the twins at Deepwater. Time does not stand still and memories are sweet.

On behalf of the volunteers and staff of Hope Federal Credit Union in Clarksburg, I send our sincere condolences to Doris’ family. The credit union world has lost a true champion as well as a dear friend.
The passion that Doris had for credit unions was obvious to all who knew her. She will be missed.
Hopefully you can take comfort in knowing that she touched the lives of so many others in a positive way.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’m so sorry you lost your Mom. I know the past weeks were very hard for you and your family, but know that your Mom was very blessed to have you by her side through it all. May your thoughts of all of the good times you had with her comfort you.

After knowing Doris and Dorma in high school, we were close with Doris and Paul in St Albans from 1957 to 1962 when we had some good times together. I saw her at the last reunion last year and we talked about old times. She will be remembered and missed..
